Akarshan was directed by Tanvir Ahmed in the year 1988.


Star Cast:

Movie stars Sonu Walia, Akbar Khan, Girish Karnad and Sharon Prabhakar in lead roles. Other supporting star cast includes Rohini Hattangadi, Suparna Anand and Deepak Qazir whereas Parveen Babi, Smita Patil and Raj Babbar  who were casted in special appearance.
Movie Review:


This old hindi bollywood movie has no such superstars but has well talented actors such as Girish Kanad and Rohini Hattangadi. The story of the movie revolves around an actress named Priya (Sonu Walia). She is living along with her elder sister who ‘s  character is played by Rohini Hattangadi. Most of her time goes into her shooting and almost has no time to live in her own house with her sister. One day Priya is giving a take for her upcoming film when she faces an accident. But luckily her co-star, played by Akbar Khan, saves her. She is thankful to him and later both fall in love with each other.Soon she introduces him to her sister who dislikes him. When Priya tells her that she is going to get marry him, her sister refuses to do so. But Priya is determined to do so and later the marriage takes place. Then the two start their newly and happily married lifestyle. Shortly, her husband meets with an accident and gets paralyzed. Now its upto Priya whether she wants to stay with a paralyzed man or to choose a free life. Overall, the movie is good to enjoy the story and appreciate the actors. Rather, one should watch it for drama and a fine work of art.


Music And Singers:

Music is cheerful. Ajit Singh along with famous Bappi Lahiri has composed the music of the movie. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Kavita Krishnamurthy, Bhupinder, Ajit Singh himself and Kishore Kumar.
